People

Paola Bertolazzi is the research director and director of IASI - CNR. Her research interests are algorithms, combinatorics and graph theory, bioinformatics, systems biology, computational biology.

Giovanni Felici is tenured researcher at IASI since 2001. His research interests cover operations research, optimization and their application to knowledge discovery and data mining. He is author of several papers and book chapters on these subjects. He teaches Data Mining and Pattern Recognition at Master Courses and Decision Techniques for undergraduate students at the Faculty of Statistics of the University of Rome.

Emanuel Weitschek is an associate in the data mining and data analysis department of IASI - CNR in Rome since 2008. Emanuel has a PhD in computer engineering and is currently a PostDoctoral researcher at the Engineering Department of University Roma Tre. His research interests are data acquisition, data analysis, data mining, bioinformatics and software engineering.

Giulia Fiscon graduated in Biomedical Engineering and is actually a PhD candidate at the Department of Computer, Control and Management Engineering at Sapienza University of Rome. She is an associate in the bioinformatics lab of IASI-CNR since 2012. Her research focuses on RNA secondary structures prediction and comparison, and Data Mining.

Fabio Cumbo works on biological network analysis as a Research Assistant at IASI-CNR since 2012. He is graduated in computer engineering at the University of Roma Tre and his research interests are Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Proteomics, Systems Biology, Algorithms and Graph Theory.
